Artemis Solutions Group Steps Up to Help Military Families Overcome Hardships During Extended Deployment - Leading security products manufacturer pledges portion of profits to support Unmet Needs Program.

(KANSAS CITY) – Military families facing unexpected financial needs due to extended deployments are about to receive a helping hand from one of the nation’s leading security products companies. Earlier this week, administrators of the Unmet Needs Program announced that Artemis Solutions Inc. plans to donate $10 of the sale price of selected biometric lock and secure personal safe products to support the program’s work on behalf of military families across the United States.

“It is deeply gratifying to have a patriotic, conscientious company such as Artemis Solutions join us in this effort in such a meaningful way,” says Chris Connington of Vermont American Power Tool Accessories. Vermont American enabled the launch of the program last year with a $1.25 million financial pledge to the VFW Foundation – the charitable arm of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). “The support from Artemis and its associated brands will make a tangible difference in the lives of military families nationwide.”

Administered through the VFW Foundation, the Unmet Needs Program helps military families meet unexpected financial challenges that are further complicated by a family member's deployment.  Already, more than 400 military families across the United States have received grants totaling nearly $600,000 to help defray the costs of unexpected home or auto repairs, mortgage or rent payments, child care and medical expenses, groceries and more.

“I have family members who are veterans, friends who have served and countless employees and business associates who are being touched in some way by current deployments,” says James Childers, president of Artemis Solutions. “I’ve seen the financial and emotional toll that deployments can take on military families, so our company is committed to support the Unmet Needs Program until our troops come home.”

Artemis is supporting the Unmet Needs Program through two of its subsidiaries, BioCert® and BioSaf™.  For every BioCert® Guardian™ fingerprint biometric door lock sold through www.fingerlock.net  or BioSaf™ INPRINT™ personal biometric safe sold online through www.biosaf.com during the term of the partnership, Artemis will donate $10 to the Unmet Needs Program.

The Unmet Needs Program sponsorship is only the latest example of Artemis’ commitment to support the nation’s military personnel. The Freeland, Washington based company has long been a major corporate supporter of the Fallen Heroes Fund and other programs designed to assist troops and their families.

“Our military men and women are making enormous sacrifices in the name of their fellow Americans,” says Childers. “Regardless of how we feel about the nation’s current military engagements, our troops and their families here at home deserve our utmost respect and support.”
